Keep the Jewish stork in flight!
WHY DONATE TO HASIDAH DURING THE HIGH HOLIDAYS?
Rosh Hashana marks the birth of the world and the beginning of the year. This is followed ten days later by Yom Kippur, the day of atonement. The time in between Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur are known at the ten days of of return. During this time, Jews reflect on the mistakes of the past year and through the power of tefillah, teshuva, u’tzedakah – prayer, returning (repentance) and charity, we turn to God for forgiveness and with hope for a good and sweet New Year.
Because of this, it is a tradition to give to charity on the High Holidays. Combine the ideas of birth and charity, and you get a donation to Hasidah!
Thank you for your donation and warm wishes for a good and sweet New Year.
